folio f.a.q.
about folio
|
updates and f. a. q.
- 1. Can I submit hypertextual work?
- Yes. Hypertextual papers submitted to a writing module can be submitted and they will be included in the competition for best writing along with more traditional formats. However, for obvious reasons, hypertextual papers cannot be included in the print version of folio (beyond an excerpt and a URL); however, they will be presented here on our website. Please submit hypertexts in the form of a cover sheet listing all the required information and the URL where the paper is online.
- 2. Can I submit a paper written in a writing course I took in a prior year?
- No. This publication is established as an annual collection: its goal is to publish the best work in the Writing area every year. Please take this opportunity when you have it, that is the year when you are taking your writing course.
- 3. Can I submit a paper written for a module outside the Writing program?
- No. There are other publication possibilities for a broader range of student work in the USP (web and print, such as Conexus). folio, however, is established to collect the best writing done in the Writing area.
- 4. Can I submit a paper if I am not in the University Scholars Programme?
- Yes, if you were in the USP at the time you wrote the paper for a writing course. In this case, feel free to submit it even if, for some reason, you are no longer in the program. However, please note that for your paper to be considered for publication you do need to be a student of NUS.
- 5. When can I submit my paper?
- You may do so at any time of the academic year in which you are taking your writing module, but no later than a month after classes end in the given academic year. For further guidelines (format, required information, etc.), see our call for papers.
