Career Development Links

The SO Team works closely with the NUS Career Centre and BBA Career Services to avail opportunities to our students. You can also check out their websites for more information on career-related matters.

USP Student Initiatives

Below are some web links to initiatives which involve USP students.

  • Campus Observer (by Clement Tan)

The Campus Observer is an online newspaper committed to serving the NUS student community. We are not officially affliated with the university administration or the NUS student union. While we do not claim to represent the student body, we are committed to the expression of diverse viewpoints and articulating a mature voice that emphasises accuracy and fairness.

  • E27 Singapore (by Bjorn Lee)

E27 Singapore is the local chapter of Entrepreneur27 (founded in Silicon Valley), an organisation for local young technology entrepreneurs excited by opportunities in the digital sectors of mobile and internet.

We started out with a simple idea. Because it is always exciting to see what young entrepreneurs create, we wanted to build a community especially geared toward college students and young professionals. We didin't want attendants to pay a lot of money to meet old people in a stuffy setting. Rather, we want to host many free events ("unconferences") that provide a chance for young adults to gain some exposure, knowledge, and inspiration not only to the tech industry, but to what it's like being your own boss.

  • Nineo (by Pranav Piyush)

Nineo provides students projects they love! The vision of Nineo is to let students find out for themselves what they love to do and what they are good at. It envisions to do so by providing them opportunities to test, train, hone their skills through various projects they may receive by using Nineo's online portal.

  • TimeorDime.com (by Vishesh Mittal)

TimeorDime.com is an award-winning student initiative that combines the benefits of social networking with errand running, in what is called service networking.
