USP Leadership Programme: Leadership through the Ages (Run 2)
“Leadership through the Ages” has its first run from October 2008 to April 2009. The programme is specially planned for USP students who are interested in exploring more about leadership issues. It is a multi-disciplinary programme which provides an intellectual but also experience-based examination of leadership related-issues.
Participants will meet on scheduled Saturday afternoons from 2 to 5 pm. The sessions are participative, involving group activities and facilitated discussions, and students are encouraged to exercise critical reflection to maximize their learning.
This programme is organized for enrichment purpose and is non-credit bearing.

Programme Instructors and Facilitators
AARON MANIAM is currently Deputy Director at the Strategic Policy Office, which analyses potential long-term challenges for Singapore and Asia. He graduated from Oxford and Yale on a PSC Scholarship and served in the Singapore Foreign Service, most recently as First Secretary (Political) in Washington D.C. In 2007, he was nominated as one of 25 “Asia 21 Fellows” by the Asia Society, under its Asia 21 Young Leaders Programme.
EDMUND TWOHILL was a member of the USP community and Arts Faculty from 2004 to 2008 where he enjoyed himself immensely attending classes, seminars and going on Global Programmes to various countries. Outside USP, he was and still is active in such groups as the Halogen Foundation and the National Youth Council. He is currently an Officer in the Army, serving his second tour as a Staff Officer in HQ Guards.. |
