Background

The Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange Programme is a prestigious programme spearheaded by the respective Ministries of Education (MOEs) of Singapore and China.  It was established to broaden bilateral ties between Singapore and China through the interaction of outstanding undergraduates from both countries.  It aims to instill our students with a global perspective and understanding for China and its potential, and to expose the Chinese students to life and education in Singapore.
The programme comprised of two legs: a 15-day Singapore leg and a 15-day China leg.  The inaugural programme took place in November 2003, when a Chinese delegation visited Singapore and had a good overview of Singapore’s economic, cultural and education systems.  A Singapore delegation subsequently visited Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou in December 2003, when the Chinese delegation reciprocated with similar hospitality.  The second run of the programme14 March, 2008ogramme was held in February and May 2006.  The first three runs of the programme have seen tremendous success.  The MOEs of Singapore and China are now gearing up for the fourth run of the programme, and we invite you to apply to participate in this fourth run.
