Date: 27 Oct 2007
Time: 9.00am - 7.30pm
Location: LT 6, Faculty of Engineering, NUS

The United Nations Youth Association of Singapore (UNYAS), in collaboration with the University Scholar’s Programme (NUS), will be hosting the inaugural Global Education Seminar on the 27th of October 2007. This is a seminar series aimed at introducing global affairs to students under the age of 21.

The topic for this year’s seminar is the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The one-day seminar will involve an introduction to global affairs and a panel forum session on the MDGs in the morning, after which we break for lunch. After lunch, concurrent workshop sessions will be run on the MDGs. Participants will attend two sessions of their choice.

With groups such as ONE Singapore, the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE), Action for Aids (AfA), the Singapore Environment Council (SEC), Global Campaign for Education, as well as the SingHealth Foundation facilitating the session, this year’s GES2007 looks set to be an exciting time of global affairs discussion!
