Programme of Study and Curricular Requirement

The exchange students must propose a programme of study at the host university. The modules proposed must fulfill the exchange students’ degree requirements at the home university. Alternative modules, provided they fulfill the degree requirements of the exchange students at the home university, may be pursued if the original modules are unavailable.

USP students will be required to complete the NUS China Studies Minor programme by completing 8 NUS modular credits from approved China Studies modules at NUS and completing 14 PKU credits with a minimum average score of 68 marks from approved modules in Chinese history/culture/society/economy at PKU.

Yuanpei students are encouraged to read at least one USP module during their study at NUS.

The modules must be self-contained and completed within the semester or academic year. The main responsibility for academic counselling lies with the exchange student’s programme coordinator at the home university. However, the host university will appoint an academic advisor/mentor to each incoming exchange student.

USP students should have spent at least two semesters at NUS before departing to PKU. Prior departure, USP students are required to complete 8 NUS modular credits (MCs) from the following basket of modules, which will be updated regularly:
